This recipe creates a bright, refreshing winter fruit salad using seasonal produce like citrus and pomegranate, tossed in a simple honey-lime-ginger dressing. It is an easy, healthy side dish perfect for holiday meals or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large navel oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 2 mandarin oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 3 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 2 crisp apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and chopped
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare all the fruit: peel and segment the oranges and mandarins, slice the kiwis, chop the apples, and halve the grapes. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, grated ginger, and lime zest until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the honey citrus-ginger dressing over the fruit mixture.
  4. Gently toss the fruit until everything is lightly coated with the dressing.
  5. Serve the winter fruit salad immediately, or chill for up to one hour before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the dressing mixture.
  • If you want a slightly sweeter salad, use mandarin oranges that are very ripe.
  • This salad works well as a healthy holiday fruit side dish for Thanksgiving or Christmas gatherings.
