Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, chopped onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully place the tuna patties in the hot skillet.
  5. Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For crispier patties, you can add an extra tablespoon of bread crumbs.
  • Serve with your favorite tartar sauce or a squeeze of lemon.
  • These patties are great on a bun for a tuna burger.
  • For a healthier option, you can bake these patties at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
