Make these incredibly simple, no-bake sugar cookie truffles using just four ingredients. They create a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth bite-sized treat perfect for parties or quick holiday candy ideas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) package store-bought sugar cookies (about 30 cookies)
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or vanilla almond bark
  • 1/4 cup festive sprinkles (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar cookies in a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs. If you do not have a food processor, place cookies in a large zip-top bag and crush them thoroughly with a rolling pin.
  2. Transfer the cookie crumbs to a medium bowl. Add the softened cream cheese. Mix with a sturdy spoon or clean hands until the mixture is completely combined and forms a thick dough.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get about 24 to 30 truffles. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This step helps them firm up before dipping.
  5. Melt the white chocolate wafers according to package directions. You can use a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, or use a double boiler.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Return the dipped truffle to the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Immediately top the wet chocolate coating with festive sprinkles, if you are using them.
  8. Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature, or speed up the process by chilling them for another 15 minutes.

Notes

  • If you want a Lofthouse cookie inspired flavor, use soft, frosted sugar cookies for the base.
  • For a smoother coating, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening to the melting wafers while melting.
  • These are excellent homemade confections to make ahead of time for holiday candy ideas.
