Ingredients
Scale
6 cups cranberry juice cocktail
4 cups orange juice, chilled
2 liters ginger ale or sparkling white grape juice, chilled
1 cup fresh orange slices
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1 lime, thinly sliced (for garnish)
Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice cocktail and the orange juice. Stir these juices together well.
Chill the juice mixture for at least one hour if you have time, or proceed directly to the next step.
Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale or sparkling white grape juice. Stir gently to combine without losing too much carbonation.
Add the fresh orange slices and whole cranberries to the punch bowl.
Garnish the punch bowl rim or float the lime slices and rosemary sprigs on top for a festive look.
Serve immediately in glasses filled with ice.
Notes
For the best flavor and fizz, add the sparkling component (ginger ale) right before guests arrive.
You can prepare the cranberry and orange juice mixture up to 24 hours ahead of time and keep it refrigerated.
To make this a beautiful, frozen centerpiece, freeze some of the cranberry juice and orange slices in a bundt pan to create a large ice ring. Add this ring to the punch bowl instead of loose ice.
If you want a deeper color, use 100% cranberry juice instead of cranberry juice cocktail, but you may need to add a little extra sweetener or orange juice.
