Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add the sliced ribeye steak and cook until browned. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Cook, breaking up the meat, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  5. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Reduce heat to low. Add the softened cream cheese and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  7. Stir in the cooked steak.
  8. Top the mixture evenly with shredded cheddar and provolone cheese.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • If you don’t have ribeye, you can omit it and use only ground beef for a simpler version.
  • This casserole is a great option for meal planning and can be reheated easily.
