Hi, I’m Alex, and I’m so glad you’re here. This Easy Italian Hoagie Dip captures all the bold flavors of your favorite sub sandwich in a creamy, no-bake appetizer perfect for game day or your next gathering. It is simple to make ahead and always a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped salami
  • 1/2 cup chopped ham
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped black olives
  • 2 tablespoons sliced banana peppers (optional)
  • Crackers, pita chips, or sliced baguette for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, dry Italian dressing mix, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in the chopped provolone cheese, salami, ham, pepperoni, red onion, green bell pepper, and black olives. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the base.
  3. If using banana peppers, stir them in now.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the hoagie dip for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours. Chilling allows the flavors to blend, making this a great make-ahead dip.
  5. Before serving, transfer the cold deli dip to a serving dish. Serve with your favorite dippers like crackers, pita chips, or slices of crusty bread.

Notes

  • For a tangier flavor, substitute half of the mayonnaise with Italian vinaigrette dressing.
  • This hearty sandwich dip tastes best when served cold, straight from the refrigerator.
  • If you want a Philly Hoagie Dip variation, add a small amount of finely chopped, sautéed steak pieces.
