  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. While the beef cooks, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pour the sauce over the browned ground beef in the skillet. Stir to combine.
