1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional: 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese for topping
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and cinnamon to create the marinade.
Place the chicken pieces into a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are fully coated.
Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably up to 8 hours, for the best flavor and juiciness.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
If grilling, lightly oil the grates. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place on the hot grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
If baking, arrange the chicken in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked through.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes
