- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts or sprinkles
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Combine sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well.
- Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract. If using, stir in nuts or sprinkles.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares.
Notes
- For vanilla fudge, use white chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
- You can also make this on the stovetop: combine ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
- Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
