A seasonal twist on the classic margarita, perfect for fall gatherings. This recipe features apple cider and a cinnamon-sugar rim for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups tequila
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Cinnamon and sugar for rimming glasses
  • Apple slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cinnamon-sugar rim: Mix equal parts cinnamon and sugar on a plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip the rim into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  2. In a pitcher, combine tequila, apple cider, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Stir well.
  3. Chill the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Serve over ice, garnished with apple slices.

Notes

  • For a less sweet margarita, reduce or omit the simple syrup.
  • You can substitute pear nectar for apple cider for a different fall flavor.
  • If you prefer a pumpkin spice flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice to the pitcher.
