Ingredients
Scale
4 English muffins, split
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices (or other toppings)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Cooking spray
Instructions
Prepare the English muffins by splitting each one in half. Lightly toast the muffin halves in a toaster or toaster oven until slightly crisp.
Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray.
Spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly over the cut side of each muffin half.
Top each muffin half with mozzarella cheese and your desired toppings, such as pepperoni. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
Place the prepared muffin halves in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly and the edges of the muffin are golden brown and crispy.
Carefully remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For oven cooking, place assembled pizzas on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
This recipe is freezer-friendly. Assemble the pizzas completely, place them on a baking sheet, and freeze until solid. Transfer frozen pizzas to a freezer bag. Cook directly from frozen in the air fryer, adding 2-3 minutes to the cook time.
Customize your toppings: Try cooked sausage, sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, or use pesto instead of pizza sauce for a different flavor profile.
