Ingredients
Scale
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for dipping)
1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)
Instructions
Combine the chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a stiff, uniform dough forms. If the mixture seems too dry, add one extra teaspoon of condensed milk.
Roll the dough into small, one-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
Prepare the chocolate coating: Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Dip each chilled ball halfway or completely into the melted chocolate. Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined sheet.
Refrigerate the pecan pie balls for another 15 minutes, or until the chocolate sets completely.
Notes
For a Southern twist, substitute 1/4 cup of the pecans with chopped walnuts.
