Make these simple, bite-sized pecan pie balls without turning on your oven. They capture classic pecan pie flavor and are perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for dipping)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Combine the chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a stiff, uniform dough forms. If the mixture seems too dry, add one extra teaspoon of condensed milk.
  3. Roll the dough into small, one-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
  5. Prepare the chocolate coating: Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled ball halfway or completely into the melted chocolate. Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Refrigerate the pecan pie balls for another 15 minutes, or until the chocolate sets completely.

Notes

  • For a Southern twist, substitute 1/4 cup of the pecans with chopped walnuts.
  • If you are looking for simple ways to manage your weekly food intake, look into meal planning options.
  • These treats store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
