You need to try this incredibly moist and flaky salmon recipe. It features a sweet and savory glaze that makes this dish a family favorite, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, pepper, and salt until combined. This creates your savory sweet salmon glaze.
  4. Spoon the honey garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  6. Serve immediately. This pairs well with rice or steamed vegetables for a complete healthy salmon dinner.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes to get slightly caramelized edges, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • If you prefer a restaurant copycat flavor, add a small dash of smoked paprika to the butter mixture.
  • This recipe is excellent for meal prep; simply reheat gently.
