Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined. This creates your honey garlic butter glaze.
Spoon the glaze evenly over the top of each salmon fillet, making sure to coat the surface well.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove the salmon from the oven. Garnish immediately with fresh chopped parsley and serve with fresh lemon wedges.
Notes
For a sheet pan meal, add asparagus or broccoli florets to the baking sheet alongside the salmon before baking. Toss them lightly with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
If you prefer a slightly spicier flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze mixture.
This recipe is high protein and cooks quickly, fitting well into healthy dinner plans.
