Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and eggs until they are fully combined.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk the flour and baking powder together.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, you can add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the wet ingredients.
  • This cake is excellent plain, but you can dust it with powdered sugar before serving for a finished look.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days to keep the cake moist.
