This creamy, cheesy Jalapeño Popper Dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for your next party or game day. It combines the classic flavors of jalapeño poppers into a warm, scoopable appetizer that is simple to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles, drained
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeños, drained (use more for extra heat)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Monterey Jack cheese, cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Stir in the drained diced green chiles and drained diced jalapeños. If you are using bacon, fold in the crumbled bacon now.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and melted butter. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the dip mixture.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly throughout and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • You can prepare this dip mixture ahead of time and keep it covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Add the topping just before baking.
  • For a slow cooker version, combine all ingredients except the topping in a small slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours. Sprinkle the topping over the dip during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.
  • If you prefer a lower-carb option, serve this dip with celery sticks or bell pepper strips instead of crackers.
