Make tender, flavorful garlic butter steak bites in your slow cooker. This easy recipe is perfect for a simple weeknight dinner or a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Place the steak cubes in your slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the butter mixture over the steak.
  4. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to the slow cooker.
  5. Stir everything to coat the steak evenly.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until the steak is tender.
  7. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  8. Serve the steak bites warm.

Notes

  • Serve these steak bites with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite vegetables.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of red wine to the slow cooker.
  • Consider this a great option if you are looking for meal planning ideas for busy weeknights.
