1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (19 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into pieces
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Pour marinara sauce, diced tomatoes (with juice), chicken broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper over the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is cooked through.
Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
Stir in the biscuit dough pieces, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese.
Add the tortellini and stir to combine.
Cover and cook on low for another 30-45 minutes, or until the tortellini is cooked and the sauce is heated through.
Serve hot.
