I’m Alex, and I’m glad you’re here. This Crock Pot Angel Chicken recipe proves that incredible, soul-satisfying food does not need to be complicated. You get tender chicken in a rich, creamy Italian-style sauce, perfect for serving over angel hair pasta on busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, cubed cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper until the mixture is mostly smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  5. Remove the chicken breasts and shred them using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce until everything is well combined and creamy.
  6. Cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta well.
  7. Serve the creamy Crock Pot Angel Chicken immediately over the hot angel hair pasta.
  8. Garnish each serving with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For an even richer flavor, you can sear the chicken breasts briefly in a skillet before placing them in the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer rice instead of pasta, this dish works well served over cooked white or brown rice.
  • This recipe is a fantastic make-ahead meal; the leftovers reheat well in the microwave or on the stovetop.
