Enjoy tender, pan-seared chicken thighs coated in a rich, creamy garlic-herb sauce. This simple one-pan meal is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  8. Return chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon sauce over them.
  9. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For boneless chicken thighs, ensure an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Feel free to use fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary for a more intense flavor.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
  • Consider this a great alternative to some meal delivery services when you want a home-cooked meal.
