Ingredients
Scale
2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1 oz Godiva Chocolate Liqueur (or other chocolate liqueur)
1 oz Creme de Cacao (dark or white)
1/2 oz Half-and-Half or Heavy Cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
Chocolate syrup or shavings for garnish
Instructions
Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes before starting.
Prepare your garnish: Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the chilled martini glass, creating swirls. If using shavings, set them aside.
Add the vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, and creme de cacao to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
If you want a richer drink, add the half-and-half or cream now.
Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds. This chills and slightly dilutes the drink properly.
Strain the mixture into your prepared, chilled martini glass.
Garnish the top with chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa powder. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a Chocolate Espresso Martini variation, substitute 1/2 oz of the vodka with 1/2 oz of cold espresso or strong coffee.
If you prefer a less sweet drink, use white creme de cacao instead of dark, or reduce the amount of chocolate liqueur slightly.
To make this recipe dairy-free, substitute the half-and-half with a non-dairy creamer like oat or almond cream.
This recipe makes one serving. Double or triple the ingredients in your shaker for multiple drinks.
