A steakhouse-style chicken dish with a crispy exterior and a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  7. Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  8. Pour in the white wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 1 minute.
  9. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce slightly thickens.
  10. Stir in fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it.
  12. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy crust, pat your chicken dry before seasoning.
  • Ensure your skillet is oven-safe before transferring it to the oven.
  • You can substitute lemon juice for white wine if preferred.
  • This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
