- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in the white wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Stir in fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For an extra crispy crust, pat your chicken dry before seasoning.
- Ensure your skillet is oven-safe before transferring it to the oven.
- You can substitute lemon juice for white wine if preferred.
- This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
