Recreate Red Lobster’s famous garlicky cheddar drop biscuits with a buttery herb glaze. These easy biscuits are perfect for holidays or seafood nights.

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. While the biscuits are baking, mix the melted butter with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and dried parsley.
  9. Brush the warm biscuits with the butter mixture immediately after they come out of the oven.
