Scale
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Make a well in the center and pour in the milk. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the biscuits are baking, mix the melted butter with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and dried parsley.
Brush the warm biscuits with the butter mixture immediately after they come out of the oven.
Notes
For best results, use cold butter and milk.
