You can make these incredibly simple, cheesy, and savory sausage balls using only three main ingredients. They are the perfect crowd-pleaser for parties, game days, or quick snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (regular or sage flavor)
  • 2 cups Bisquick Original Baking Mix
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, Bisquick baking mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Use your hands to mix the ingredients thoroughly until they are fully combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between them.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving warm.

Notes

  • You can prepare the dough ahead of time, roll the balls, and store them covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder or a dash of black pepper to the mixture.
  • These sausage balls freeze well. Place baked or unbaked balls on a baking sheet to freeze solid, then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag for storage up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes.
