A simple and delicious fall salad featuring seasonal fruits, crunchy nuts, and a tangy maple-balsamic dressing. Perfect for meal prep or a healthy side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • For the dressing:
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced apple, sliced pear, toasted nuts, and dried cranberries.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
  4. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for meal prep.

Notes

  • For mason jar salads, layer the dressing at the bottom, followed by the sturdier ingredients like nuts and dried cranberries, then the greens, and finally the apple and pear slices.
  • This salad is great for meal planning and can be customized with your favorite seasonal ingredients.
