A simple apple pie dump cake recipe with minimal ingredients and fuss, perfect for a quick fall dessert.

  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the apple pie filling.
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. If desired, sprinkle cinnamon over the top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
