I’m Alex, and I’m glad you’re here. This Apple Cider Moscow Mule is the perfect seasonal twist on the classic. It uses simple ingredients like crisp apple cider and spicy ginger beer, making it an approachable, big-on-flavor drink for your autumn gatherings or cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 oz Apple Cider (unfiltered preferred)
  • 4 oz Ginger Beer (chilled)
  • Ice cubes
  • Garnish: Apple slices and a cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Chill your copper mug or highball glass.
  2. Fill the glass completely with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the vodka and fresh lime juice over the ice.
  4. Add the apple cider to the glass.
  5. Top the mixture with chilled ginger beer.
  6. Gently stir the drink once or twice to combine the ingredients without losing too much carbonation.
  7. Garnish with a thin apple slice placed on the rim and a cinnamon stick for aroma.

Notes

  • For batch preparation, mix the vodka, lime juice, and apple cider in a pitcher ahead of time. Do not add the ginger beer until you are ready to serve.
  • If you want a warmer, spicier drink, use a ginger beer with a higher ginger content.
  • To make this a Caramel Apple Moscow Mule, add 0.5 oz of caramel vodka or a small drizzle of caramel syrup before topping with ginger beer.
