I’m Alex, and I believe incredible food doesn’t need to be complicated. These air fryer pork chops deliver juicy, tender meat with a perfect crispy exterior, making them your new go-to for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispy exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and black pepper to create your seasoning rub.
  3. Brush both sides of each pork chop lightly with the olive oil.
  4. Generously coat both sides of the pork chops with the seasoning rub, pressing it gently into the meat.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  8. Flip the pork chops and continue to air fry for another 4 to 7 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) for juicy results.
  9. Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving. The temperature will rise to a safe 145°F (63°C) during resting.

Notes

  • For bone-in chops, you might need 1-2 minutes more cook time than boneless cuts.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking and dryness.
  • This simple seasoning works well for both thick and thin cuts.
