1.5 lbs cod fillets
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Dip each cod fillet into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Press the egg-coated cod into the panko mixture, coating both sides.
Lightly brush the coated cod fillets with olive oil.
Place the cod in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
Air fry for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cod is cooked through and the crust is golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
Serve immediately with your favorite sauces.
Notes
For a healthier option, you can skip the olive oil brushing.
